Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush, an American pop boy
group, was founded in 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow
and Logan Henderson. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to
Columbia Records. The group was featured in the Nickelodeon television show of
the similar title, Big Time Rush. The show aired from November 28 the 29th of
2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode featured "Big Time Rush",
the group's debut promotional single. The band has released three albums,
including BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in 2013. The group went on
an indefinite hiatus in the year 2014 which lasted until 2021, when the band
resumed live performances and released their single "Call It Like I See
It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in 2009 in
conjunction with its television show, Big Time Rush. In the following year,
Nickelodeon partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group to produce the show, and
also to add original music to the show. The series' first single, "Big Time
Rush" was released on November 29 in 2009. The song was officially
revealed on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was
later broadcast across the world. It debuted during a preview of the show. It's
the current theme for the show's opening. Promo singles like "City is
Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and more were released during the
series. Big Time Rush covered "Famous" by Play. It was released on
iTunes on the 29th of June, 2010, Another track, "Halfway There", was
released to iTunes on April 27, 2010, following its debut on the series. It was
soon their first chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at
93 thanks to the digital sales. To celebrate the release of their debut album,
Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About You" on the 21st of
September 2010. The album, BTR was released on October 11 October 11, 2010. The
album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within the
first week.
