Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
became famous as one of the cast members on 'Saturday Night Live'. He later
appeared on several comedies on the big screen, such as Elf,' Anchorman' and
‘Talladega Nights. Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in 1967. He started his
comedic career as a member of the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings.
He was an Saturday Night Live cast member for seven years , and he became a
major comedic draw through off-color films, like Old School 2003 and Anchorman:
The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell co-founded Funny or Die, a popular
website for streaming videos. Ferrell also had the success of voice-over actors
in animated movies such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived
in Irvine, California on July 16th 1967. The youngest son of Righteous Brothers
keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own
admission, not the class clown while when he was a student at University High
School. Studious and somewhat quiet, Ferrell decided to leave his mark on the
field of football in which he set the school record for the most field goals
scored. Ferrell displayed a lack of absurd, humorous behaviour that would
define his career, even in his suburban home. His mother, who was interviewed
by Esquire, said that her son was even-tempered and easygoing. "You're
familiar with those Matchbox cars?" Will be lining up his Matchbox cars,
by himself and be utterly content. You could say, "You want to go to
Disneyland today?" He'd have to think about it. "That's not to say
that Ferrell was a straight man. A glimpse of his comedic skills showed up each
morning in high school, as Ferrell disguised his voice in order to announce his
daily activities through the PA system. After graduation in 1986 Ferrell went
to the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, where he joined Delta
Tau, the Delta Tau fraternity and pursued the field of sports journalism with a
degree.
